Owens-Corning®, an independent test lab, has spoken loud and clear. The IEC-60704 lab tests analyze dishwashers during normal wash cycles. This test accurately measures each dishwasher's sound from:
• Water entering the dishwasher tub
This test is the industry standard for measuring sound power. Decibel units (dB) simply reflect intensity or loudness (for example, how a microphone hears). The notation dBA refers to decibels measured on an A-weighted scale to include pressure, and is applied to the whole frequency range, which is closer to the way the human ear responds to sound. These advanced criteria for sound performance better translate to your everyday life.
![]() GE Profile™ dishwashers have been through the Owens-Corning tests. With sound packages as quiet at 47 dBA, these dishwashers keep the peace so you can clean all your dishes without disturbing your kitchen conversations. Surrounded by sound
Every sound has a decibel level (dBA)
