1. THE PROMOTION: The "GE® WEEKEND RENOVATION SWEEPSTAKES" Promotion ("Promotion") consists of eight (8) weekly sweepstakes ("Weekly Sweepstakes") and one (1) Grand Prize Sweepstakes ("Grand Prize Sweepstakes"). The Promotion starts 8/27/09 at 12:00 A.M., Eastern Time ("ET") and ends 11/01/09 at 11:59:59 P.M., ET. The specific dates for each Weekly Sweepstakes and the Grand Prize Sweepstakes are as stated in Rule 3 below.
2. HOW TO ENTER: Each day during the Promotion Period, go to www.geappliances.com and provide the information requested on the registration page to receive an entry into that week's respective Weekly Sweepstakes and an automatic entry into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes. Limit: One entry per person per calendar day regardless of email address used.
3. IMPORTANT DATES FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE PROMOTION: The Promotion consists of eight (8) Weekly Sweepstakes and one (1) Grand Prize Sweepstakes, each starting and ending on the dates and times described in the table below. Non-winning entries from one Weekly Sweepstakes will roll over to, and be included in; subsequent Weekly Sweepstakes and all Weekly Sweepstakes entries will be entered into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes for a chance to win the Grand Prize.

NOTE: There will not be a Weekly Sweepstakes during the week of 10/22/09 through 10/28/09; however, you will still be able to register during that week at www.geappliances.com for an entry into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes.
4. RANDOM DRAWINGS & ODDS OF WINNING: On or about the respective Random Drawing Dates listed in the table above, Mercury Promotions & Fulfillment ("Mercury"), an independent judging agency, will select the name of the potential winner of each Weekly Sweepstakes in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received for that respective Weekly Sweepstakes, and the potential winner will be notified by phone, e-mail or postal mail on or about the respective Notification Date listed in the table. The respective potential winner of the Grand Prize Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing by Mercury on or about 11/05/09 from among the total number of all eligible entries received throughout the Promotion Period. Sponsor and/or Mercury's decisions shall be final in all matters pertaining to this Promotion. Odds of winning a Weekly Sweepstakes depends on the number of eligible entries received and entered into that respective Weekly Sweepstakes. Odds of winning the Grand Prize Sweepstakes depends on the total number of all eligible entries received throughout the Promotion Period.
5. PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES ("ARV"): TOTAL OF EIGHT (8) WEEKLY SWEEPSTAKES PRIZES - 1 PRIZE PER EACH WEEKLY SWEEPSTAKES; ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: (A) GRAND PRIZE SWEEPSTAKES PRIZE: The Winner of the Grand Prize Sweepstakes will receive an Apple® iPhone® 3G-S (32 GB) (ARV: $699) plus an $840 AT&T Gift Card that the Winner may apply towards the cost of a 12 month AT&T® phone service contract. Total ARV: $1,538. If the actual retail value of the Grand Prize is less than stated Approximate Retail Value, the Grand Prize Winner will not receive difference between the actual retail value and Approximate Retail Value. All expenses not specified above, are solely the Grand Prize Winner's responsibility. Sponsor has no responsibility for Grand Prize Winner's inability or failure to accept or utilize the Grand Prize as described herein. The Grand Prize Winner will be required to sign and return within ten (10) days of notification or attempted notification of being the potential Grand Prize Winner, an Affidavit of Eligibility/Compliance (including Social Security Number as required for tax reporting purposes) & Publicity/Liability Release (where permitted by law), or an alternate potential Grand Prize Winner will be selected. The Grand Prize Winner will also receive a Form 1099, as required by law. If the Grand Prize is won by a minor in his/her state of residence, his/her parent or legal guardian must sign and return all required documents. (B) WEEKLY SWEEPSTAKES PRIZE: The winners of the Weekly Sweepstakes will each receive A Two Hundred Fifty ($250) Visa® Gift Card. Gift Card must be used in compliance with its terms and conditions and as allowed by law. Sponsor is not responsible for misplaced, lost or stolen Gift Cards. NOTE: Limit: Although the winner (including his/her spouse, parent, child or any individual who resides in a winner's household) of a Weekly Sweepstakes Prize is not eligible to win any other Weekly Sweepstakes Prize; the winner of a Weekly Sweepstakes Prize is eligible to win the Grand Prize Sweepstakes Neither the Grand Prize nor the Weekly Sweepstakes Prize is redeemable for cash; nor is it transferable or substitutable except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute a Prize or any component thereof with one of equal or greater value. All federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of each winner.
6. ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is open only to persons who are legal residents of, and living within, the 50 United States and District of Columbia, 18 years or older, as of the date of entry except officers, directors, and employees (and members of their household and of their immediate families, i.e., parents, children, stepchildren, spouse, siblings, "step" of each and persons residing in the same household of such immediate family members) of Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, sales representatives, distributors, advertising/promotion/web design agencies including Mercury and/or their affiliates, assigns or representatives; (hereinafter referred to collectively as "Sponsor & Others"), and all other persons or entities associated with the development, administration, promotion, execution of, or supply to this Promotion.
7. RELEASE: By acceptance of a Prize, the Winner releases the Sponsor & Others, from and against any and all liability and claims or causes of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property with respect to all aspects of this Promotion, including those arising out of participation in this Promotion, any Prize related activity whether sponsored by Sponsor or third parties, or the acceptance or possession or use/misuse of the Prize or any component of the Prize.
8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY/INTERNET: Sponsor & Others are not responsible for interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer transmissions or jumbled, scrambled or misdirected entries or transmissions, or for phone, electrical, network, computer hardware or software or program malfunctions, failures or difficulties or for other errors, omissions, interruptions, or deletions of any kind whether human, typographical, mechanical or electronic or for any damage to any person's computer related to participating in the Promotion. Sponsor & Others are not responsible for illegible, unintelligible, late, lost, stolen or non-received entries or incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion or by any technical, typographical or human errors which may occur in the processing of any entries in this Promotion. Any entrant who attempts to play with multiple email addresses, under multiple identities or uses any bots or other device or artifice to play multiple times or to interfere with the proper play of this Promotion, will be disqualified from participation in the Promotion. Persons found tampering with, abusing any aspect of this Promotion or acting in an unsportsmanlike manner, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and may be subject to prosecution. If in the judgment of Sponsor, the Promotion is compromised by viruses, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupt the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Promotion, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to discontinue, modify, suspend or terminate the Promotion and proceed in a manner it deems fair and reasonable, including the selection of winners from among eligible entries received prior to such discontinuation, modification, suspension or termination. Any personally identifiable information collected during an entrant's participation in this Promotion will be collected by Sponsor or its agents and used by them solely for purposes of the proper administration and fulfillment of the Promotion as described in these Official Rules or as stated in Sponsor's Privacy Policy at http://www.geappliances.com/privacy/privacy_policy.htm. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a potential winner based on an email address, the winning entry will be deemed to have been made by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. SPONSOR MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NONINFRINGEMENT.
9. DISPUTES: Issues concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. All disputes arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes will be resolved individually, and without resort to class action, exclusively by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan (Southern Division) of the appropriate Michigan State Court located in Macomb County, Michigan. Should there be a conflict between the laws of the State of Michigan and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the State of Michigan. All judgments or awards shall be limited to actual incurred out-of-pocket expenses (excluding attorneys' fees) associated with participation in this Promotion and shall not include any indirect, punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages.
10. GENERAL: By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and/or Mercury, which are final and binding in all matters and all respects relating to this Promotion. This Promotion is void in Puerto Rico and wherever else prohibited by law. Acceptance of a Prize constitutes the winner's consent to the use of his/her name, biographical information, photograph, and/or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes as determined by Sponsor or its designees without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. All entries and/or materials submitted become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor & Others are not responsible for any lost, late, undelivered, misdelivered or postage due mail.
