Dryers - Drum Lamp

Some GE and Hotpoint electric dryers have a drum lamp that turns on automatically when the door is opened. This makes the interior of the dryer more visible when loading and unloading.

The convenient location, makes it easy to replace the lamp. Follow the steps below in replacing 1995 and newer drum lamps:

Unplug the dryer cord or disconnect the power to the dryer at the circuit breaker.
Reach above the dryer opening from inside the drum.
Remove the bulb and replace it with the same size bulb that is removed. The replacement bulb is a seven watt, screw base.
