Air Conditioners Water Sounds

As warm moist (humid) air from the room passes over the cold indoor coil, water condenses out of the air. This water collects on the surface of the coil, runs down to the drip tray or directly to the base pan, and then flows to the rear of the unit. A slinger ring picks up the water from the base pan and throws it on the outdoor coil to help remove the heat. This can cause a sloshing sound. A pinging or sloshing sound may be heard as the fan blade moves through the water.

These noises are considered normal.
