ADA-Compliant Cooktops
GE cooktop models that meet ADA Regulations feature controls that are located up front, where they can be accessed without reaching across hot burners. These controls are designed for easy, one-hand operation and are positioned within a forward reach range of 15 and 48 inches. The cooktop undersurface is insulated to prevent burns, abrasions and electrical shock. These cooktop models can be installed at various heights, with a knee space beneath with easy wheelchair access. Smoothtop electric models allow easy pot movement and cleaning. Hot-surface indicator lights, control-lock capability and upfront controls provide added convenience and peace of mind.
