Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate Program (HEAR)
The Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates program (HEAR) provides rebates to consumers for some HVAC equipment based on income level. HEAR covers:

- 100% of costs for appliance, equipment, and electrification projects (up to $14,000) for low-income households.
- 50% of costs for appliance, equipment, and electrification projects (up to $8,000) for moderate-income households.

NOTE: Currently, the Department of Energy is developing the specific guidelines for these rebates and qualifying criteria. We will provide more detailed information on HEAR once the program details are finalized.
Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit (25C)
The Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit, or 25C credit allows households to receive a tax credit equal to 30% of the cost of upgrades to their homes.
While 25C covers many types of energy efficient home upgrades that are limited to $600 per measure, up to $1,200 per household per year, homeowners can receive up to a $2,000 tax credit for qualifying heat pump equipment.
