Experience Precision Cooking Step by Step

Follow this simple guide to set up your Precision Cooking Tools* to be used with your GE Profile range.
 

If your GE appliance supports Precision Cooking and didn’t include a compatible cooking tool, you can purchase one separately.

Pairing Your Precision Cooking Tools

    1. Make sure your WiFi is connected. (For help, see the instructions below on Connecting Your WiFi.)
    2. Select the Settings button on your Profile range. Press Bluetooth, then select Pair.
    3. Activate your Precision Cooking Tool.

Prepare Your Range Cooktop

    • Press the precision cooking pad on the desired burner.
    • The display will read “Activate Cookware.” You can then activate your tool for use (see below).

Prepare my Range Cooktop (LCD touchscreen model)

    • Select “To Cooktop” on display.
    • Select “Start” on LCD touchscreen display then On/Off on the burner you intend to use.
    • Activate your precision cooking tool.

To Activate the Cooking Tool:

    • Hestan Cue Cookware with black end cap: Tap the pan’s handle.
    • Precision Probe: Press side button once.
    • Built-in Precision Cooktop Sensor (LCD range): Select conventional sensor on LCD touchscreen after activating Precision Cooking
    • Built-in Precision Cooktop Sensor (knob model range): Select 1 after activating Precision Cooking

Using Your Precision Cooking Tools

Once the cooking tool is activated, the display will prompt you to set the precision cooking tool temperature. There are two control modes: App and Local.

    • You can set the temperature through either the SmartHQ app or Hestan Cue app (by Hestan Smart Cooking). These apps are free and available for download through your mobile device’s app store.
    • You can also use the burner knob to select the set temperature and adjust it using the + and – buttons or by turning the knob. No App or mobile device use is required for Local control. NOTE: You cannot return to App control once Local control is set.

Connecting Your WiFi for Precision Cooking

To use your Precision Cooking Tools with your smart range, you first need set up your WiFi connection and download our SmartHQ app.

    1. Enter settings menu on your range, then select WiFi.
    2. Download the SmartHQ app to your mobile device and create your account or sign in if you’ve already done so.
    3. Follow the instructions on your range’s display and in the app to connect your smart range.

*Precision Cooking Tools do not require app usage to operate. All Precision Cooking Devices can be used locally on your range.
