CHOCOLATE ORANGE MUFFINS
Chocolate Orange Muffins
These deliciously simple orange chocolate chip muffins are made with fresh orange juice and orange zest and a few chocolate chips. They make and the perfect treat for a weekend brunch.

INGREDIENTS
Juice and zest of 2 medium oranges
200 grams / 1 cup sugar
1 stick butter, room temp
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs, room temp
½ cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
250 grams / 2 cups flour
100 grams chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan or line with muffin papers.
In the bowl of you GE Profile Smart Mixer, beat sugar, orange zest, vanilla and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Add the buttermilk and orange juice.
Weigh in the flour, add baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix until just combined.
Add chocolate chips. Use the Active Stir mode to combine.
Divide batter equally into prepared muffin tin.
Bake 20-25 minutes until golden.
