Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
Who doesn't love a warm chocolate chip cookie, straight from the oven? Not only is this simple recipe perfect for your sweet tooth, you can also package the refrigerated dough as a quick gift when guests stop by!

INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 3 sticks butter, chilled
- 1 firmly packed cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 10 ounces chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl and set aside. In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream the butter, brown sugar and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix on medium-low speed. Add the dry ingredients, and mix on medium-low speed until combined. Stir in the chocolate chip.
Store dough in an air tight container in the refrigerator until you are ready to bake. Package in festive containers for a fun housewarming surprise or holiday gift.
To bake, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, scoop the dough into balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake until the cookies are golden brown around the edges and soft in the center, 12-15 minutes.
